REDUCE REPAIR COSTS WITH REGULAR MAINTENANCE
OUR MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Check operation of thermostat and element, replace filter cartridge (if fitted) remove loose lime scale, carry out earth continuity and resistance tests. All electrical cables are checked for damage or wear.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The stainless steel surface may be wiped over with a damp cloth and polished with a soft dry cloth
Do not use chemicals, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the water urn, as they will damage the surface
Always unplug the water urn from the power outlet and allow to cool before cleaning
The inside of the unit can also be cleaned by pouring a small amount of hot water into the tank, brushing the sides, and rinsing with hot water until it runs clean
Empty and rinse the urn with hot water before using
To avoid lime scale damage which may be white or even rusty-looking, descale the urn at least once a month. Or install a calcium treatment unit or other filtration system
Phosphate scale isn’t generally visible, but it’s there, even in soft water areas. When water is heated, the minerals solidify. This makes the water appear cloudy. It may form a film on the surface of the water or on the walls and floor of the Urn. It may look like thin pieces of plastic in the water.
All scale causes overheating, reduces the Urn’s life, and cause component failure.
Even in soft water areas descale regularly, to help keep your urn in working order longer.
